Work in Progress As the title says this is a work in progress. As is all things in life.

I see you looking at me with a sly smile
Don’t think I haven’t noticed you in awhile?

Maybe a dinner and a movie?
I think so fancy italian would fine

Or maybe something fun
Like a mexican cantina
Talk a little trash about your friend Tina
After we take a few shots of rum
And maybe after the movie is over
we can take our date under the covers
And see if we paid attention in school
And multiply like a couple of fools
Nine months later we’re sitting there stunned
How after one night our lives could be undone.

Maybe I’ll be a gigolo. Brittany does say I’m swinging some major pipeage.

I get off work in 3 hours. At that time I’ll have been up for 23 hours. My job is killing me.

So preach I shall. Remember the days where hard honest work was rewarded with a wage you could live on? Remember the days when someone made a promise and kept it? Remember the days where everyone worked and everyone hustled? Where are those days? Where did they go? We as a society have lost sight of those days. In the race to see who has the biggest profit margin, we lose sight of the vision of sustainable existence. We lose the focus of creating value throughout, only to focus on the values of business metrics. We need to return to those days. Where a person could live working a mediocre 9-5. Where we don’t need hand outs to get by. We need to reclaim what we lost. We need to get our value back.

When you hate your job and bosses and feel under appreciated and under paid.

Going back to work an overnight shift the day after coming back from vacation sucks so hard. I’m not going to enjoy this and they’ll be damn fucking grateful I’m even showing up.

Hell yes.
